Location and work arrangement

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, test, verify, validate, integrate and document software components for modelling and simulation environments.
• Analyze and develop software architecture and support the creation and maintenance of digital models and simulation capabilities.
• Support military scenario development, simulation execution and analysis of software and simulation results.
• Develop software using C++ and, depending on the task, Python, Unreal Engine, MATLAB/Simulink and graphical user interfaces.
• Support verification and validation, experimental data collection and software integration with modelling and simulation components.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports, and provide knowledge transfer, training and support to project partners.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, automated manufacturing engineering, information technology engineering or software engineering.
• At least 12 months of C++ programming experience.
• At least 6 months of Python, 12 months of Unreal Engine and 12 months of MATLAB/Simulink experience.
• At least 3 months creating graphical user interfaces and 6 months creating digital models.
• At least 12 months analyzing and developing software architecture; 6 months with one or more verification and validation processes; and 3 months running and analyzing simulations.
• At least 6 months of experience with physical phenomena associated with electro-optics.

Additional requirements
