Infrastructure Support Engineer

About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain, support, and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems including servers, networks, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, and network systems.
• Provide Level 1 / Level 2 support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform system installations, configurations, and upgrades.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure system security compliance and apply patches/updates regularly.
• Collaborate with other IT teams (Application Support, Security, DevOps).
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or ITIL.
• Experience in cybersecurity best practices.
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Availability for shifts or on-call support if required.

Pay: QAR12,000.00 - QAR14,000.00 per month
