Infrastructure Engineer Civil Consruction

Role overview

Construction and coordination

• Review construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, project managers, site engineers, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor daily site progress against approved drawings and project timelines.
• Coordinate excavation, earthworks, compaction, roadworks, kerbstone installation, paving, and reinstatement.
• Oversee underground utility, pipeline, manhole, and chamber installation and testing.
• Ensure quality compliance and coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and UAE authorities as applicable.
• Prepare progress reports and site and material inspection requests; identify issues and recommend corrective action.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor performance; attend coordination meetings and report progress.

Completion and project support

• Support quantity measurements, material requirements, and verification of completed work for interim payment applications.
• Ensure testing, commissioning, as-built documentation, and handover of completed infrastructure works.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant UAE civil construction and infrastructure experience.
• Proven experience in roads, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, utilities, or other infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, technical specifications, and authority approval procedures.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical documents.
• Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; project planning software knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong site supervision, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred where required for site duties.

Pay

• AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
