Project management
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders and develop plans under PMO guidelines.
- Allocate and manage team members, budgets, and materials to meet milestones and deliverables.
- Lead execution, coordinate team activities, and manage tasks and approved changes to meet objectives.
- Monitor progress, identify variances, take corrective action, and report project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and manage project risks and issues.
- Close projects by confirming contractual deliverables, documenting lessons learned, releasing resources, and closing project phases.
- Prepare effective project plans and schedules, train team members on project management tools, and monitor assigned team members and third-party consultants.
PMO, selection, and testing
- Manage day-to-day PMO operations and support project guidelines and process improvements aligned with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Review RFP and tender documentation and support proposal reviews, shortlisting, and vendor selection.
- Coordinate test objectives, policies, strategies, and plans; lead the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of test cases, procedures, and suites.
- Act as a focal point for PMO activities among business units, suppliers, and organizational sections.
- Follow departmental frameworks, policies, procedures, and instructions; perform related assignments and provide colleague backup when needed.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, including one year in a bank or financial institution IT PMO function.
- A strong IT background is required because most projects are IT-based or related.
- Must be proficient in both Arabic and English.
- Hands-on experience managing digital transformation initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel from initiation through completion.
- Leadership traits and effective communication skills for working with the CEO, C-level leaders, department heads, and key stakeholders.
