About This Role
Overview
An ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Manager plans, directs, and coordinates an organization's IT infrastructure, telecommunications, and software systems.
They are responsible for implementing technology strategies, ensuring data security/disaster recovery, managing IT staff, and overseeing budget and vendor relationships to ensure high-performance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- **Strategic Planning:**
- Develops and implements ICT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
- **Infrastructure Management:**
- Oversees servers, networks (LAN/WAN/VPN), databases, hardware, and software systems, ensuring high availability, security, and reliability.
- **Team Leadership:**
- Manages, mentors, and evaluates ICT staff, including scheduling work, training, and setting performance goals.
- **Data Security & Compliance:**
- Maintains data security, implements backup procedures, and ensures compliance with statutory standards (e.g., GDPR).
- **Budgeting & Vendor Management:**
- Manages ICT capital and revenue budgets, negotiates with vendors, and oversees service agreements.
- **User Support & Troubleshooting:**
- Provides high-level IT support, directs troubleshooting efforts, and manages helpdesk operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- **Experience:**
- Previous experience in IT management, network administration, or systems engineering.
- **Technical Knowledge:**
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cloud environments (Azure/Office 365), and hardware/software.
- **Leadership:**
- Proven ability to manage teams, manage projects, and communicate with stakeholders.
- **Education:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- **E-PROMIS Knowledge**
- **Construction / with Contractor experience**
- **Software Engineering**
