Information Security Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory obligations and leading industry practices.
• Conduct enterprise-wide information security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing, and provide actionable recommendations and management reporting.
• Monitor networks, systems, applications, and data to detect vulnerabilities, threats, and security incidents; ensure timely mitigation and response.
• Manage security incident response processes, including investigation, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Oversee security audits, compliance reviews, and internal assessments; ensure remediation of identified gaps and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for information security, privacy, and copyright-related incidents, coordinating with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Drive the implementation of security architectures, controls, and technologies to address emerging threats and enhance security posture.
• Lead information security awareness and training programs to strengthen organizational security culture.
• Supervise the deployment, modernization, and continuous support of security systems, tools, and technologies.
• Support the development and monitoring of the IT/security budget to ensure alignment with planned expenditures.
• Ensure adherence to Ankabut’s policies and procedures and report any breaches or security risks promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security initiatives and ensure effective integration across the organization.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving threat landscapes, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and Department Head.

Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of the information security team through regular evaluations, coaching, and development.
• Support talent development and nationalization initiatives to build internal capability and ensure continuous professional growth.
• Contribute to departmental budgeting, ensuring adequate resources to support security operations and strategic initiatives.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as
• CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent
• are required.

Experience

• **UAE Nationals:**

Minimum

• 3–5 years
• of experience in information security.
• **Expatriates:**

Minimum

• 5–7 years
• of experience in information security.
• Demonstrated experience in security governance, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
