Role overview
Lead and manage the full spectrum of HR operations for a growing retail organization.
Partner with business leadership to support workforce growth, improve engagement, strengthen HR processes, and drive operational excellence.
The role supports a large frontline workforce and is based in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.
Working hours
- Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Lead recruitment for retail stores, warehouses, and support functions.
- Oversee payroll, attendance, leave administration, and employee records using Roots HCM.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and company policies.
- Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor manpower needs and execute workforce planning initiatives.
- Support performance management and employee development programs.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics for management review.
- Partner with department heads on staffing and people-related challenges.
- Drive employee engagement and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of HR experience in the UAE.
- Experience managing HR operations in retail, FMCG, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar workforce-intensive environment.
- Hands-on Roots HCM experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, time and attendance systems, and HR administration.
- Sound understanding of UAE Labour Law and HR best practices.
- Experience in high-volume recruitment, frontline workforce management, and multicultural workforce management.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Immediate or short-notice joiners are preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-site retail operations is preferred.
- CIPD, SHRM, PHR, or SPHR certifications are preferred.
