Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and proactive HSE Officer to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across our construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and company HSE policies
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive measures
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Monitor PPE usage and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports
- Maintain HSE documentation and records
- Coordinate with site teams, engineers, and management on safety matters
- Ensure proper implementation of emergency procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Safety, Engineering, or related field
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction industry (UAE preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to handle site safety independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-rise / fit-out / contracting projects
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to enforce safety without conflict
