The HSE Engineer implements and maintains HSEQ management systems and supports safe, compliant operations.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSEQ management systems in accordance with international standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and assessments to identify and eliminate hazards.
- Develop procedures for incident investigation, reporting, and follow-up.
- Provide HSEQ training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Prepare HSEQ reports and management presentations; participate in HSEQ meetings and coordinate site action plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and promote safety and environmental awareness.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate HSEQ into operations and recommend system improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or a related field.
- NEBOSH IGC certificate or OSHAD certificate.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role; UAE or Middle East experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of international HSEQ systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work independently and in a team; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Languages
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 8,000–10,500 per month.
