About The Company

VentureOne is building a new venture focused on next-generation robotics, developing intelligent service robots designed to operate safely and efficiently in human environments.

The mission of this venture is to improve productivity, safety, and efficiency across high-impact industries by deploying versatile robotic systems.

About The Role

The HR Manager is a foundational leadership role responsible for building and running the core HR function for AD Robotics as the company scales from early-stage venture to full operational maturity.

You will own the employee lifecycle end-to-end from onboarding and payroll through performance management, employee relations, and compliance while shaping the policies, systems, and culture that support a fast-moving, technical organisation.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership position suited to someone who has built or scaled HR operations in a start-up or high-growth environment, ideally within the UAE, and who is comfortable operating with limited infrastructure in the early stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core HR infrastructure including HRIS, employee records, and workflow systems appropriate for a scaling organisation.
  • Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contracts, probation, performance management, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Manage UAE labour law compliance, including MOHRE regulations, visa and work permit processes, and Emiratisation requirements.
  • Administer payroll processing and coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant salary disbursement (WPS).
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures aligned with UAE law and company values.
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support headcount planning, offer structuring, and new joiner integration.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy.
  • Build and administer compensation and benefits frameworks, including health insurance, leave policies, and end-of-service calculations.
  • Drive performance management cycles, goal setting, and manager capability building across the organisation.
  • Support organisational design, workforce planning, and change management as the company grows across functions and geographies.
  • Champion employee engagement and culture initiatives suited to a fast-paced, technical, multicultural workforce.
  • Ensure accurate HR reporting and metrics for leadership, including headcount, attrition, and workforce cost analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or standalone HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience building or scaling an HR function in a start-up, scale-up, or high-growth environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UAE labour law, MOHRE processes, visa/immigration procedures, and WPS payroll requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and HR process design in a growing organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters with sound judgement and discretion.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering directly with founders or C-suite leadership.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building processes from the ground up.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a technology, robotics, engineering, or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in recruitment
  • Exposure to HR technology implementation, including HRIS selection and integration with ATS platforms.
