About Us

VentureOne are building a new regulated digital investment platform focused on fractional ownership, tokenized asset workflows, marketplace operations, investor onboarding, compliance controls, and secure transaction lifecycle management.

The platform will operate in a regulated environment and will require a secure, scalable, observable, and highly reliable cloud foundation.

The infrastructure must support web applications, backend services, workflow orchestration, integrations, audit evidence, identity, document flows, data platforms, and production grade deployment processes.

We are looking for a strong Azure focused DevOps engineer who can help build the platform foundation from the ground up and make sure our engineering teams can ship safely, quickly, and confidently.

About The Role

The Senior DevOps Engineer / Azure Cloud Engineer will own the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, environment strategy, deployment automation, and operational readiness for the platform.

You will work closely with engineering, security, QA, product, and external partners to design and operate a secure Azure cloud environment for regulated digital investment workflows.

You should be comfortable with infrastructure as code, cloud networking, Kubernetes or container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, secret management, monitoring, logging, security controls, release management, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate Azure cloud infrastructure for the platform.
  • Build secure and scalable environments for development, testing, staging, and production.
  • Define and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Pulumi, or similar tools.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Support deployment of backend services, frontend applications, workflow orchestration services, databases, integration services, and operational tools.
  • Design and operate container based workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, or similar service.
  • Implement secure networking patterns including VNets, private endpoints, network security groups, firewalls, ingress, egress, DNS, and environment isolation.
  • Manage secrets, certificates, keys, and sensitive configuration using Azure Key Vault and secure configuration practices.
  • Set up monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and dashboards using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
  • Create operational runbooks, release processes, incident response processes, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve service reliability, scalability, performance, and deployment quality.
  • Implement cloud security best practices across identity, access control, encryption, workload protection, vulnerability management, and audit logging.
  • Support compliance needs through evidence capture, access reviews, environment controls, change tracking, and production deployment records.
  • Work with QA and SDET teams to integrate automated tests, quality gates, and release checks into CI/CD.
  • Optimize cloud cost, resource usage, scaling policies, and operational efficiency.
  • Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of platform reliability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Pulumi, or similar tools.
  • Experience deploying and operating containerized applications.
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, Docker, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Azure networking, private endpoints, load balancers, application gateways, firewalls, DNS, and environment isolation.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, managed identities, service principals, certificates, and secret management.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting production systems with strong reliability, incident response, and operational discipline.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, access control, encryption, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong scripting or automation skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, security, QA, and product stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building cloud foundations for regulated platforms in fintech, banking, capital markets, payments, digital assets, real estate, compliance, or government technology.
  • Azure landing zones, hub and spoke networking, policy as code, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, or enterprise security controls.
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Durable Functions, Logic Apps, Camunda, or similar systems.
  • Experience operating platforms with audit trails, compliance evidence, approval workflows, and sensitive financial or investor data.
  • PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Redis, Event Grid, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, and API Management.
  • Experience with zero trust architecture, private networking, workload identity, and least privilege access models.
  • Experience with blue green deployments, canary releases, feature flags, rollback strategies, and release governance.
  • Blockchain, tokenization, custody, payment, reconciliation, or marketplace systems is preferred but not essential.
