Role overview

Duties

• Sweep, mop, wax, and wash floors; dust furniture; make beds; change sheets and towels; and stock linen and supply areas.
• Respond to guest requests for extra supplies and clean and disinfect public areas, including changing rooms, showers, and pool areas.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings; remove debris and empty trash containers.
• Weed, mow, trim hedges, clean up leaves, plant, and edge outdoor areas.
• Power wash, paint, and perform general maintenance.
• Assist housekeepers and help move furniture and storage boxes.
• Report maintenance and safety hazards, maintenance issues, and suspicious activity to managers or supervisors.
• Operate and secure equipment correctly and follow correct handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning products.

Requirements and skills

• No education or experience is required; one-on-one training is provided.
• Able to follow instructions, manage time, adapt to change, and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally; maintain a professional appearance and manners.
• Good communication skills and WHMIS knowledge are assets.
• Show customer-relations skills and focus on exceeding guest expectations.
