Overview
- Carry out general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, window cleaning and waste disposal to maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the household.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, guest rooms and en suites, replenishing toiletries, towels and supplies as required.
- Perform regular deep-cleaning tasks (wardrobes, ovens, behind appliances, upholstery and carpets) on a scheduled basis.
- Ensure rooms are prepared to the employer’s standards for daily use, visitors and special occasions, including bed-making and turndown service where required.
- Manage routine laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing, steaming, folding and organising household linen and clothing to the household’s standards.
- Identify fabrics and apply appropriate care methods; perform minor repairs or arrange specialist cleaning when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of linens and laundering supplies; inform the employer when stock needs replenishing.
