The House Attendant maintains the cleanliness of assigned hotel areas and equipment.
The role delivers designated items to guestrooms and supports guest requests and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
- Shampoo carpets in public areas and furniture as needed.
- Handle luggage assistance requests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Process lost-and-found items according to hotel standards.
- Clean guestrooms as needed.
- Assist with emergency procedures and maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
- Store hotel equipment in the appropriate area and complete assigned special projects.
- Deliver designated items to guestrooms and help ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to stand during the entire shift.
- Effective verbal and written communication with employees and guests is required.
Workplace
- The position supports operations at a hotel in Manhattan, New York City.
Compensation
- Compensation is hourly.
