Job Summary
The role applies occupational health, safety, and environmental systems and site security procedures and monitors compliance to reduce accidents and risks and ensure a safe work environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare security and safety plans and supervise implementation in line with civil defense requirements.
- Implement the project HSE plan and monitor compliance.
- Conduct periodic field inspection tours, record violations, and follow up on corrections.
- Perform risk assessments and review method statements before work begins.
- Issue and follow up work permits for work at heights and excavations.
- Ensure availability and use of PPE and the safety of equipment, cranes, and scaffolding.
- Deliver awareness and training programs and hold daily toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend prevention measures.
- Follow up emergency, evacuation, first aid, and civil defense requirements.
- Monitor site security procedures.
- Prepare daily and monthly safety reports and incident statistics and submit them to the project manager.
- Monitor compliance with environmental protection and waste management requirements on site.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, from an accredited university.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers membership.
- Recognized HSE certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of labor law, civil defense requirements, and construction site safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preparing technical reports.
- Proficiency in Arabic and good technical English.
- Communication and awareness skills and ability to conduct field follow-up under schedule pressure.
- At least 5 years of experience.
