Overview

***Debt Restructuring & Capital Structure***

• Lead end-to-end debt restructuring initiatives, optimising the company's capital structure to reduce cost of debt and improve financial flexibility.
• Develop and execute debt management strategies including refinancing, covenant renegotiation, and balance sheet deleveraging.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of corporate borrowing facilities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and board-approved leverage targets.
• Present debt strategy recommendations to the Holding CEO, Board, and Audit & Risk Committee.

***Syndicated Loans & International Banking Relationships***

• Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of syndicated loan facilities and bilateral credit agreements with international banking partners.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's relationship banks, maintaining strong partnerships across global financial institutions.
• Manage the documentation process for loan agreements in collaboration with legal counsel and external advisors.
• Monitor compliance with loan covenants and proactively manage lender communications.

***Liquidity & Cash Management***

• Oversee global cash management, liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimisation across all group entities.
• Implement and maintain a robust cash pooling structure to maximise internal efficiency and minimise external borrowing.
• Ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity buffers and committed facilities to meet operational and strategic needs.

***Risk Management & Hedging***

• Design and implement hedging strategies to mitigate FX, interest rate, and commodity price risks in line with the Board-approved risk appetite.
• Manage relationships with derivative counterparties and oversee ISDA documentation.
• Maintain compliance with treasury risk policies and financial reporting standards (IFRS 9 / hedge accounting).

***Governance, Reporting & Strategy***

• Develop, implement, and enforce treasury policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Produce high-quality treasury reporting for the Board, CFO, and external stakeholders including credit rating agencies.
• Support M&A activity, capital raises, and other strategic finance initiatives from a treasury perspective.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the treasury team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• ***Essential***
• 18+ years of progressive treasury experience, with at least 8 years in a senior treasury leadership role within a large corporate environment.
• Proven track record of leading complex debt restructuring programmes and/or refinancing transactions.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing syndicated loan facilities with international banks.
• Deep expertise in cash management, liquidity risk, FX hedging, and interest rate risk management.
• Strong working knowledge of financial instruments, capital markets, and credit documentation (LMA standard preferred).
• Professional qualification: ACT (AMCT/MCT), CFA, ACA/ACCA, or equivalent.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency with SAP TRM; familiarity with other treasury management systems is an advantage
• Experience operating within a large conglomerate or diversified holding group, with exposure to multiple business verticals and subsidiaries, preferably including contracting or infrastructure businesses.
• Prior exposure to treasury operations spanning the GCC, MENA, Africa, Central Asia, or frontier markets — experience in markets such as KSA, Iraq, Libya, Kazakhstan, or similar is a strong advantage.
• Background in managing treasury across diverse and complex operating jurisdictions, including countries with capital controls, currency restrictions, or limited banking infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ESG-linked financing instruments (green bonds, sustainability-linked loans).
• Exposure to high-yield debt markets or leveraged finance structures.
• Experience interfacing with group-level governance, intercompany treasury arrangements, and intra-group lending frameworks across multiple sectors.
