Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and discreet

Head of Security

to oversee the end-to-end protection of a Dubai-based Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individual (UHNWI) and their family.

This role combines strategic oversight with operational execution across residential security, global travel, and contractor/vendor management.

The position requires

regular international travel aligned with the Principal’s movements

, often at short notice, and the ability to operate seamlessly across multiple jurisdictions and cultural environments.

1. Residential Security (Dubai-Based)

  • Lead and manage all aspects of security for the Principal’s primary residence in Dubai and any regional properties.
  • Oversee deployment and maintenance of security systems (CCTV, perimeter controls, access systems, alarms).
  • Manage and supervise on-site security teams, ensuring 24/7 coverage and readiness.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and drills.
  • Liaise with UAE authorities and emergency services where required.

2. Travel Security & Executive Protection

  • Accompany the Principal on domestic and international travel as required.
  • Plan and execute detailed travel security arrangements, including:
  • Advance security assessments of destinations
  • Route planning and secure transportation
  • Venue and accommodation security reviews
  • Coordinate close protection operations during travel, business engagements, and public appearances.
  • Maintain situational awareness of geopolitical, health, and security risks globally.
  • Liaise with embassies, private aviation stakeholders, and in-country security teams.

3. Freelance Contractor & Global Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain a vetted global network of security contractors and executive protection professionals.
  • Source, vet, hire, and manage freelance personnel based on travel destinations and risk profiles.
  • Oversee contractor performance, compliance, and adherence to confidentiality standards.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and service delivery for third-party providers.

4. Risk, Intelligence & Crisis Management

  • Continuously monitor and assess threats to the Principal and family (physical, geopolitical, reputational).
  • Develop and implement crisis response plans (medical emergencies, evacuation, contingencies).
  • Prepare detailed security briefings ahead of travel and key events.
  • Provide ongoing intelligence insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

5. Leadership & Strategic Oversight

  • Define and execute a comprehensive, forward-looking security strategy.
  • Lead and mentor internal and external security teams.
  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff, household staff, travel coordinators, and other advisors.
  • Ensure absolute discretion, professionalism, and adherence to the highest standards of confidentiality.

Experience

  • 12–15+ years of experience in security, with significant exposure to

UHNWI / VIP protection

  • .
  • Prior experience in

Dubai / Middle East

  • strongly preferred.
  • Background in
  • military, law enforcement, or intelligence services

Requirements

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally

  • Relevant certifications (CPP, PSP, Executive Protection, HEAT) are highly desirable.
  • Understanding of UAE laws and security environment is an advantage.
