Role Description
The Head of Project Management is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week.
This role oversees the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project frameworks, setting priorities, managing timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams to align on goals and deliverables.
The Head of Project Management will review project performance, identify risks and dependencies, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
This role also involves optimizing processes, mentoring project managers, reporting to senior leadership on portfolio progress, and supporting strategic planning for future initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong program and project management skills, including experience overseeing multiple projects or a portfolio of initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to align teams, manage expectations, and provide clear updates to leadership.
- Proficient analytical skills to interpret data, assess project performance, manage risks, and support decision-making.
- Proven team management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing project management talent.
- Budgeting and financial management skills to plan, track, and optimize project and program costs.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment and ability to lead distributed or cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a part-time leadership capacity.
