Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Infrastructure to lead the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure and master planning projects. The role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise in roads, water, drainage, and utilities infrastructure, combined with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and project commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Provide strategic oversight of civil infrastructure design and delivery across multiple projects.
• Establish and implement design management frameworks, technical standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Align infrastructure delivery with organizational goals and long-term development strategies.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation, and performance management across projects.

2. Design Management & Technical Oversight

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (roads, utilities, drainage, transportation).
• Oversee concept, preliminary, and detailed design stages.
• Conduct high-level technical reviews and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.
• Manage approvals with authorities and regulatory bodies.

3. Project & Commercial Management

• Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial performance.
• Oversee consultant contracts, scope negotiations, and deliverables.
• Support tendering, bid preparation, and resource planning.
• Ensure timely delivery within budget while maintaining quality standards.

4. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the primary interface with clients, government authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Lead coordination meetings, technical workshops, and executive discussions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams and project managers.
• Manage resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
• Support recruitment and succession planning.

6. Business Development

• Identify new project opportunities and support market expansion strategies.
• Contribute technical input to proposals and major bids.
• Develop partnerships with consultants and stakeholders.
• Strengthen company positioning through successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent (e.g., CPEng).
• 10–15+ years of experience in civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in infrastructure design (roads, drainage, utilities, water systems).
• Proven experience managing large teams and complex infrastructure portfolios.
