Head Bartender

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bar operations, opening and closing procedures, inventory, and cash handling.
• Lead, train, schedule, and manage the performance of bar staff.
• Deliver guest service, create a welcoming atmosphere, and address guest concerns or complaints.
• Develop and update cocktail menus with management, considering trends, customer preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
• Train the team in cocktail preparation, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, alcohol-handling, and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, equipment, glassware, and utensils.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and manage stock to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
• Keep up with industry trends, products, and techniques, and share knowledge with the team.
• Collaborate with management on special events, promotions, and beverage initiatives.

Location

• The position is located in Doha, Qatar.

Requirements

• Skilled in serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant and bar patrons.
• Able to oversee bar operations and guide the work of other bartenders.
• Able to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
