Handmade carpet salesperson at Pearl Design and Contracting, focused on premium handmade Afghan rugs.
Client sales and rug advice
- Explain rug origins, tribal symbolism, weaving techniques, and history, including Khal Mohammadi, Kazak, Mauri, and Baluch rugs.
- Assess interior spaces, dimensions, and lighting to recommend colors, knot density, and rug placement.
- Advise clients on care, preservation, professional washing, and repair of organic, naturally dyed handmade carpets.
Authentication and collection support
- Identify hand-knotted and machine-made construction; assess wool quality, including Ghazni hand-spun wool, natural vegetable dyes, and rug value.
- Assist with sourcing, grading, and managing authentic regional collections, including climate-controlled storage and display.
Pay
- Pay is listed as AED 1,300 to AED 3,000 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
