Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for new products and platforms, partnering with technical, design, analytics, revenue, and business teams.
Work with the CEO and executive team to turn high-level ideas into durable, scalable businesses.
Product strategy and delivery
- Understand customers, merchants, partners, market trends, and relevant product, technology, and industry shifts.
- Define opportunity areas, product vision, strategic narrative, prioritized roadmap, outcomes, and business-impact metrics.
- Drive new products and platforms from discovery and validation through MVP definition, launch, and iteration.
- Own UI/UX, build prototypes using AI tools, and write customer-facing copy across onboarding and product experiences.
- Analyze customer behavior, build funnels, and lead experimentation from hypotheses through results and iteration.
- Coordinate ZT1 and core product roadmaps to support product quality, aligned user experiences, and cohesive business results.
Leadership and product craft
- Lead cross-functional work across engineering, design, data, risk, capital, operations, revenue, legal, and compliance.
- Advise the CEO and executive team on product bets, tradeoffs, and prioritization; frame decisions and maintain alignment.
- Establish product patterns, decision frameworks, and execution standards for repeatable zero-to-one work.
- Model product judgment and help shape the ZT1 function’s culture and operating model without direct people management.
Experience and skills
- Approximately 8–10+ years of product management experience and a track record shipping and scaling consumer-facing or platform products.
- End-to-end ownership of technical software products and ability to articulate business impact.
- Direct experience leading zero-to-one or highly ambiguous product areas with meaningful outcomes.
- Experience coordinating across engineering, data, design, and other groups without direct authority.
- Hands-on fluency with AI tools for prototyping, design, content, and analysis; able to evaluate and refine their output.
- Strong communication, influence, judgment, organizational discipline, and ability to move between strategy and execution.
- Startup founder or early-stage experience is a plus.
Pay and equity
- The posting lists a Canadian base pay range of $209,000–$269,000 per year and Pay Grade R, Equity Grade 9.
- Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends, and benefits.
Location and work arrangement
- Remote role open to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
- Affirm describes itself as remote-first; some roles may occasionally require office attendance, and new hires are invited to in-person onboarding.
