As part of its continued growth in the region, the agency is looking to appoint an experienced
Group Account Director
to lead strategic client partnerships and drive integrated commerce solutions across key global accounts.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an exceptional client services professional with a strong agency background and deep expertise in ecommerce, eRetail, and online brand store ecosystems.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping client strategies, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering innovative commerce-led marketing solutions that drive measurable business results.
The Role
Reporting to the Business Director, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of high-profile FMCG clients, overseeing strategic planning, commercial growth, and the successful execution of integrated campaigns across ecommerce and digital commerce platforms.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders while collaborating with strategy, creative, media, commerce, technology, and analytics teams to deliver best-in-class solutions across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow relationships with senior client stakeholders across major global FMCG brands.
- Develop long-term strategic account plans that align with client business objectives.
- Drive integrated marketing and commerce strategies with a strong focus on ecommerce, eRetail, and online brand stores.
- Provide strategic consultancy across digital commerce, shopper marketing, marketplace activation, and omnichannel campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and drive incremental revenue growth.
- Lead multidisciplinary agency teams to deliver exceptional work on time and within budget.
- Ensure the highest standards of client servicing, project management, and campaign delivery.
- Oversee commercial performance, forecasting, profitability, and account health.
- Mentor and develop Account Directors, Account Managers, and wider client service teams.
- Present strategic recommendations, campaign performance, and business reviews to senior client leadership.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, retail media developments, ecommerce innovations, and evolving consumer behaviour.
Requirements
- 10+ years of client servicing experience within a leading integrated, digital, or shopper marketing agency.
- Proven experience managing large regional or global FMCG clients.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce ecosystems, eRetail platforms, online brand stores, and digital commerce strategies.
- Demonstrated experience leading integrated campaigns across digital, social, retail, shopper, and commerce channels.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large client portfolios and P&L responsibilities.
- Outstanding client relationship, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing client service teams.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Experience working within fast-paced, multinational agency environments.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to ecommerce marketplaces and global ecommerce platforms.
- Experience in retail media, digital shelf optimisation, performance commerce, or marketplace marketing.
- Regional GCC or international market experience.
- FMCG, consumer goods, beauty, personal care, or food & beverage sector experience is highly desirable.
