Key responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate risks for general insurance products.
- Prepare and review insurance quotations, terms, and comparisons.
- Handle motor, property, marine, engineering, liability, group personal accident, and other general insurance policies.
- Negotiate premium rates, policy terms, coverage, and conditions with insurance companies.
- Process new policies, renewals, endorsements, additions, and cancellations.
- Review client requirements and recommend suitable insurance coverage.
- Coordinate with insurers, clients, brokers, and other stakeholders on quotations and policy issuance.
- Follow underwriting guidelines and insurer requirements; monitor renewals and follow up with clients.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and build professional relationships with insurers and clients.
- Attend client meetings and support insurance discussions.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in insurance underwriting in Dubai.
- General Insurance Underwriting experience is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Strong understanding of general insurance products and underwriting procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and client-handling skills.
- English proficiency is required; Hindi is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and effective risk-assessment ability.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple policies, and meet deadlines.
