General Maintenance Technician

General Building Maintenance

• Repairs doors, handles, locks, hinges, fittings, furniture, ceilings, shelving, and fixed interior fixtures.
• Completes basic wall repairs, painting, surface touch-ups, minor carpentry, and assembly work.
• Inspects assigned building components, identifies risks, completes authorized minor repairs, and reports defects requiring specialist trades.
• Supports MEP technicians, prepares work areas, coordinates access, handles tools and materials safely, and restores work areas after maintenance.
• Identifies materials, maintains hand tools, records materials used, and reports damaged tools or equipment.
• Maintains basic work records, follows site safety rules, secures repair areas, and escalates hazards and issues beyond assigned competence.

General Technician Qualifications

• Technical or vocational education is preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant general building maintenance experience is preferred.
• Practical experience with basic carpentry, painting, doors, locks, and fittings is required.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Retail-store or commercial-building maintenance experience is an advantage.

Maintenance Technician – Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Site and HVAC Maintenance

• Inspects assigned facility systems, responds to prioritized maintenance requests, diagnoses faults, completes authorized repairs, reports major faults, and supports safe facility restoration.
• Performs scheduled HVAC inspections and basic preventive maintenance; identifies cooling problems, investigates condensate drainage and water leaks, and repairs faults within demonstrated competence.
• Coordinates with central HVAC specialists when needed and maintains equipment-specific repair records.
• Repairs common plumbing leaks and minor fixture defects and replaces damaged plumbing fittings.

Scope and Authorization

• General technicians perform maintenance and minor repairs only within assigned technical competence.
• Electrical, HVAC, specialist plumbing, structural, and other regulated work is excluded unless the employee has relevant qualifications and formal authorization.
