Role overview

Accounting operations

• Perform and review daily accounting transactions and verify supporting documents.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, depreciation, and other adjustments.
• Manage AR invoicing, collections, customer reconciliations, and outstanding balances; manage AP invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in periodic and annual inventory counts, reconcile physical results with accounting records, and prepare adjustments.
• Calculate and record fixed-asset depreciation and maintain accurate balances.

Closing and reporting

• Support and perform monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, including management reporting and analysis.
• Monitor revenues and expenses and ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
• Maintain the general ledger, proper account classifications, and accurate balances; investigate outstanding or unusual balances.

Systems, compliance, and audit

• Use SAP to process and monitor transactions, generate reports, and handle AR, AP, and GL activity.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Follow company accounting policies, procedures, applicable standards, and regulations; protect the confidentiality and integrity of financial information.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven general accounting experience and hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, closing, inventory, depreciation, and reporting.
• Practical AR and AP experience and hands-on use of SAP for accounting and financial transactions.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting; strong Microsoft Excel skills for reports and analysis.
• Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving ability, teamwork, and ability to meet monthly and year-end closing deadlines.
