General Accountant role at a specialized market research company, supporting accounting work and financial and commercial decisions.
The role offers training and workshops and work under the supervision of experienced accountants.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements using accounting software and analyze financial performance.
- Review invoices and expenses against accounting records.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify transactions.
- Analyze costs and monthly expenses and report findings to management.
- Collaborate with teams to improve financial operations and advise on new projects.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and assist with strategic financial planning.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Develop and improve accounting procedures.
- Resolve invoice and payment issues with vendors and clients.
Skills and knowledge
- Strong knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and financial-advisory skills.
- Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of international financial reporting standards and local regulations.
