Furniture carpenter

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry and maintenance work at commercial, residential, and hospitality sites.
• Repair, install, and maintain wooden doors, frames, cabinets, shelves, tables, and other wooden structures.
• Repair, modify, and refurbish furniture.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials accurately.
• Install and repair wooden partitions, skirting, wall panels, and decorative woodwork.
• Repair damaged doors, hinges, locks, handles, and related fittings.
• Carry out minor maintenance and rectification work at client sites.
• Read basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Maintain proper finishing, attention to detail, tools, equipment, and work-area cleanliness.
• Follow health, safety, and site regulations and coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and other trades.
• Attend emergency maintenance and breakdown requests when required.
• Provide professional and courteous service to clients.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant carpentry experience is required.
• UAE experience in technical services, facilities management, maintenance, hotel, or fit-out projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and installation methods is required.
• The candidate must be able to take accurate measurements and perform cutting and installation work.
• The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• The candidate must be physically fit and able to work at different project locations.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

• Door and frame repair.
• Cabinet and furniture repair.
• Wooden partition installation.
• Shelving and wall panel installation.
• Furniture modification.
• General maintenance carpentry.
• Basic knowledge of hardware and fittings.
• Knowledge of hotel and commercial maintenance standards.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay is AED 1,800 to AED 2,300 per month.
• The company offers salary based on experience and skills, employment visa, medical insurance, annual leave, and other benefits under company policy and UAE Labour Law.
• The role provides exposure to diverse commercial, hospitality, and maintenance projects.

• Work location is in person in Dubai.
