Furniture carpentry duties
- Read and interpret furniture drawings, designs, and measurements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately.
- Manufacture and install wardrobes, cabinets, tables, doors, counters, and other custom-made items.
- Operate carpentry tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Complete finishing work such as sanding, polishing, edging, and minor repairs.
- Inspect finished furniture for quality, accuracy, and durability.
- Carry out furniture repairs, modifications, and maintenance when required.
- Care for tools, equipment, and materials; maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and meet assigned deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a furniture carpenter or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and furniture construction.
- Able to read drawings, take accurate measurements, and use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality; able to work independently and with a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle furniture and materials safely.
- Furniture finishing and installation knowledge is an advantage.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 1,800–2,200 per month.
Workplace
- Work is in person.
