Role Overview

Financial Crime Advisory and Transformation

• Lead and support initiatives across AML, KYC/CDD, EDD, sanctions, transaction monitoring, fraud management, and regulatory compliance.
• Assess business, operational, and regulatory challenges and recommend strategic solutions.
• Support Financial Crime target operating model, governance framework, and process improvement design.
• Advise clients on industry practices, regulatory expectations, emerging trends, and future-state operating models.
• Conduct impact assessments and support regulatory change programs.

Business Analysis and Requirements

• Gather, document, and validate requirements with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Business stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions for business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Analyze current and future states and identify process, control, data, and technology gaps.
• Develop BRDs, FRDs, process flows, use cases, business rules, and other delivery documents.
• Translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables for technology and operations teams.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, user stories, testing scenarios, and delivery outcomes.

Agile Delivery

• Work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and Development teams in Agile environments.
• Create and maintain Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Definitions of Done.
• Support backlog creation, refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning.
• Facilitate backlog grooming and support Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Release Planning.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood, developed, tested, and implemented.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Financial Services Consulting, Business Analysis, Regulatory Change, or Financial Crime Transformation.
• At least 4 years within a Big 4, Tier-1 consulting firm, or Financial Services Advisory practice.
• End-to-end Financial Crime transformation experience from strategy through implementation.
• Strong expertise in one or more Financial Crime domains, including AML, KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions, fraud, transaction monitoring, or compliance.
• Experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder workshops, business process modeling, and solution design.
• Experience with gap analysis, root cause analysis, impact assessments, process re-engineering, or business case development.
• Experience in operating model transformation and governance design.
