Front-End Engineer III

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design interfaces and interaction patterns aligned with product requirements, design systems, accessibility, and performance goals.
• Implement scalable client-side architecture, component composition, state management, routing, and API integration.
• Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to refine requirements and deliver incremental, testable UX improvements.
• Use automated testing, code reviews, performance optimization, security-conscious coding, and observability.
• Contribute to shared UI component libraries, design systems, and tools that support reuse and consistency.
• Apply AI/ML-enabled solutions safely to improve user experience, personalization, and content relevance.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Production web application experience with React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, including RESTful or GraphQL API integration.
• End-to-end ownership of user-facing web features, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Front-end system design experience including component-level low-level design, API consumption, view-layer state, and client-side data management.
• Experience with modern engineering tooling such as package managers, build systems, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience evolving complex React architectures, including state management, performance tuning, and modularization.
• Experience building shared UI libraries or design systems and promoting accessibility, localization, and responsive design.
• Use of data, experimentation, analytics, or user behavior insights to inform UX improvements.
• Hands-on experience with AI-augmented development or UX workflows and safe AI/ML integration.
• Experience partnering with AI/ML and backend teams on front-end APIs and data flows for AI-driven features.
