Experienced Forward Deployed Engineer on a customer-facing AI and digital transformation team.
Deliver complex data, cloud, and AI solutions for enterprise and government customers across the Middle East.
The role spans engineering, architecture, consulting, and solution delivery; location is Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Key responsibilities
- Understand customer business and technical requirements; design and implement enterprise-scale data and AI solutions.
- Deploy and optimize Palantir Foundry environments and data products; build and support cloud-native solutions with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Develop and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code; integrate data sources, APIs, analytics, and enterprise applications.
- Work with architects, platform engineers, and customer stakeholders to deliver projects; troubleshoot platform, cloud, and application issues.
- Support solution adoption and knowledge transfer to end users.
Essential skills and experience
- Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience; data integration and pipeline development; ontology modelling and operational workflows.
- Experience delivering customer-facing data platform solutions and strong experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Red Hat OpenShift administration, Kubernetes platform engineering, and containerization experience.
- Infrastructure as Code experience; Terraform is preferred. CI/CD and DevOps practices are required.
- Development experience includes Python, API integrations, Linux administration, automation, and scripting.
Preferred experience and education
- Government or public-sector projects, national infrastructure programmes, defence or regulated environments, AI/ML platforms, and GCC or Middle East projects are preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Relevant Azure, AWS, Red Hat, Kubernetes, or Palantir certifications are advantageous.
Personal attributes
Strong customer-facing and consulting skills; able to translate business problems into technical solutions.
Comfortable leading workshops and discovery sessions; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
