Role Overview

Location and Work Arrangement

• The position is based in the UAE, with the description specifying Dubai and a hybrid work arrangement.
• The role requires regular onsite collaboration while offering flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and predictive analytics models.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into data solutions.
• Build statistical models to solve business challenges and improve operational efficiency.
• Cleanse, transform, and validate data to ensure data quality.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings.
• Monitor and optimize model performance in production environments.
• Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support data strategy initiatives and contribute to data science and analytics best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries.
• Experience with SQL and large-scale databases.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a freelance consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and model deployment processes is preferred.
• Experience with Spark or Databricks is preferred.
• Previous experience delivering projects within the UAE or GCC region is preferred.

Contract Details

• The initial contract duration is six months.
• The engagement type is freelance or independent contractor.
• The contract may be extended based on project requirements and performance.
