Role overview

Guest service and outlet duties

• Greet and engage guests, listen to requests, answer menu questions, and suggest food, drinks, and promotions.
• Take orders, relay them to the kitchen, serve courses in sequence, and use the required serving techniques.
• Host and seat guests, provide menus and service information, and manage waiting lists when needed.
• Handle complaints courteously and apply guest recovery solutions.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and maintain clean, stocked, presentable service areas.
• Clean equipment and floors, replenish supplies, collect and deliver stock, and assist with other outlet tasks.
• Follow company standards and represent the company professionally.

Safety and cash procedures

• Follow UAE laws and company health, safety, environmental, emergency, hygiene, and HACCP procedures; report safety concerns and participate in drills.
• Handle lost property, wristbands, cash, and point-of-sale transactions according to procedures; balance and remit shift sales.
• Attend required food safety courses and participate in departmental training and assessments.

Essential qualifications and experience

• At least one year of food and beverage experience.
• Customer service, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Cash handling, upselling or suggestive selling, and broad food and beverage knowledge.
• Willingness to listen, learn, and follow instructions.

Desirable qualifications

• One year of waiter or waitress experience in a four-star hotel, at least two years of food and beverage experience, banquet training, or bilingual ability—preferably Arabic—are desirable.
