The Position

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply logistical, railway, and terminal operations.
• Administer rail assets and support fleet management operations.
• Develop railcar schedules for transportation of company commodities.
• Analyze transit data and shipment patterns to predict future trends.
• Analyze and optimize fleet costs and resolve operational issues.
• Support process improvement and identify departmental improvement opportunities.
• Request and submit shop dispositions from lessors.
• Provide backup support for the Rail Team and communicate with customers.
• Become proficient in GeoMetrix and Entero ONE.
• Resolve logistical, contract, billing, and other ad hoc problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in logistics or NGL marketing accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage technology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and process transactions accurately and promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of marketing and logistics systems such as eOne or GeoMetrix is an asset.
• Knowledge of shipping dangerous goods by rail is considered an asset.
• Oil and gas industry experience and midstream knowledge are preferred.
