Finishing Carpenter (Joinery)

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out finishing carpentry and joinery works for residential, commercial, and interior fit-out projects.
• Install doors, cabinets, wardrobes, wall panels, skirting, partitions, and other custom joinery items.
• Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and wooden structures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and cutting lists to ensure accurate execution.
• Operate woodworking machinery such as cutting machines, edge banders, sanding machines, drilling machines, and other carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure precise measurements, proper alignment, and exceptional workmanship during fabrication and installation.
• Make on-site adjustments and modifications to meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors and project teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Comply with company policies and health and safety standards at all times.

& Experience

• Proven experience as a **Finishing Carpenter (Joinery)** in fit-out, renovation, maintenance, or joinery manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, joinery materials, woodworking tools, and machinery.
• Ability to safely operate woodworking equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, and modification of wooden fixtures and furniture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in both workshop and on-site environments.
