Financial Director

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company's financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and oversee all accounting operations.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to support a growing international business.
• Prepare management reports, board packs, and investor updates, providing clear insights into financial and operational performance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business modelling activities.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and capital allocation to support sustainable growth.
• Partner closely with business leaders to evaluate commercial performance, profitability, and investment decisions.Coordinate external audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support fundraising initiatives, due diligence processes, and interactions with existing and prospective investors.
• Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Support international expansion projects, including financial governance, entity setup, and operational scalability.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, automation, and reporting capabilities across the finance function.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team as the business grows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibility within a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements and managing audits.
• Experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management.
• Demonstrated expertise in cash flow management, treasury oversight, and working capital optimaization.
• Experience preparing investor reports, board presentations, and financial models for senior stake holders.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Experience

• within healthcare technology, SaaS, digital health, medical devices, technology, or other high-growth sectors is preferred.
• Previous experience in venture capital-backed, private equity-backed, or growth-stage businesses is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
• Transformation experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to healthcare technology, diagnostics, AI-driven healthcare solutions, or medical devices.
• Experience supporting fundraising rounds, investor relations, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Experience working across multiple international markets and jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with ERP implementation, financial systems optimisation, and process automation.
