Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and partner with senior leadership on commercial matters and decision-making.
• Partner with operational, commercial, and other business functions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall business performance.
• Translate financial data into commercially relevant insights.
• Maintain financial controls, governance, and reporting standards; ensure the business operates within appropriate financial and regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
• Support development of financial systems, processes, and reporting.
• Lead and develop the finance team; remain hands-on when needed.

Candidate requirements

• A recognised professional accounting qualification is mandatory: ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CA.
• Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally at Finance Director or equivalent level.
• Financial services experience is highly desirable; experience in other complex and highly regulated industries is also considered.
• Strong commercial mindset, technical accounting, and financial management capability.
• Strong business partnering, senior stakeholder management, influencing, and constructive challenge skills.
• Understanding of governance, controls, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to turn complex financial information into meaningful commercial insight.
• Strategic, pragmatic, hands-on approach with strong leadership and communication skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is advantageous.
