Financial Accountant

About This Role

CBOX Containers is a fast-growing international company specialized in the trading and rental of shipping containers. With offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Australia, and the Middle East, we are building a scalable and professional global organization from our Dubai office. As part of our expansion, we are currently building a strong, high-performing team in Dubai to support and drive our international growth.

We are looking for a highly educated and ambitious Financial Accountant with at least 5 years of experience, a strong international background, and solid knowledge of IFRS standards. This is not a standard accounting role. You will play an active role in improving financial processes, reporting, and structure across multiple countries.

Your role

As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations while actively supporting reporting, analysis, and process improvements across multiple entities (UAE, NL, BE, DE, AU).

You will work closely with management and play a key role in improving the quality, consistency, and reliability of financial data and reporting across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control daily financial administration
• Process and review accounts payable and receivable
• Support monthly and yearly closings in line with IFRS
• Assist in group reporting and consolidation activities
• Monitor and manage cash flow and banking transactions
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Ensure accurate multi-currency accounting
• Improve processes between ERP systems and financial reporting
• Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
• Support audits and compliance across multiple countries
• Collaborate closely with international teams

What we are looking for

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
• Additional professional qualification (such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with IFRS standards
• Proven experience in an international environment (multi-entity, multi-currency)
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and group reporting
• Strong affinity with finance systems, ERP environments and international reporting tools
• Experience working with modern finance technology and a clear interest in automation and AI-driven processes
• Hands-on mentality with a proactive and ownership-driven approach
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Fluent in English, Arabic and Dutch are a plus
