Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books, records, and documentation for financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts; process journal entries and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies; assist with internal and external audits.
- Prepare tax returns, support statutory filings, monitor expenses, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; proven experience as an Accountant or similar.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices; proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability, time management, organization, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
Preferred qualifications
- CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification, full or in progress, is optional.
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of GST/VAT, income tax, and regulatory compliance are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000–5,000 per month.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time role with in-person work location.
