Finance Manager – Restaurant & Bar

Role Overview

Financial Management

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each outlet and the group.
• Consolidate multiple profit centers and analyze performance variances across outlets and locations.
• Oversee finance administration and compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and applicable labor laws.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, payment gateway reconciliations, and POS system integration.
• Establish internal controls to prevent theft, fraud, financial irregularities, and misuse of company assets.

Cost and Inventory Control

• Calculate theoretical food and beverage costs and compare actual and theoretical costs to identify leakage.
• Control high-value liquor inventory, par levels, pour costs, and bar stock reconciliations.
• Update recipe costs in the ERP for market price and supplier cost changes.
• Monitor wastage, spoilage, and breakage and implement measures to minimize losses.

Procurement and Compliance

• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and DTCM requirements.
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for food, beverages, alcoholic beverages, and operational supplies.
• Develop procurement strategies that secure quality products at competitive prices.
• Oversee purchase orders, approvals, receipts, and three-way invoice matching.
• Ensure alcoholic beverage imports and purchases comply with Dubai Customs and licensing regulations.

Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance, procurement, and storekeeping teams.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day operations across the teams.

Requirements

• CPA, CMA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• 10 to 15 years of finance and accounting experience with strong restaurant and hospitality experience.
• 4 to 6 years of UAE experience in an established restaurant and bar environment.
