Role and purpose
Finance Manager for a contracting division in the contracting, construction, or facilities management services industry.
Responsible for end-to-end financial management, with focus on project profitability, cost control, billing, cash flow, and financial reporting.
Partners with Project, Operations, and Commercial teams to protect margins and manage financial risks.
Salary
- Salary is AED 25,000–27,000 per month, plus benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the financial performance of multiple live contracting projects.
- Oversee budgets, cost control, cost-to-complete, work in progress, accruals, and project profitability.
- Drive timely billing, certifications, collections, retention recovery, and clearance of uncertified work.
- Manage project cash flow forecasts and identify funding requirements.
- Support variations, claims, contract reviews, settlements, and commercial negotiations.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, tender financial reviews, and project reporting.
- Identify financial and commercial risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Lead a lean finance team and provide financial insights to senior management.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of finance experience in construction contracting.
- Must be an ICAI-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in project finance, cost control, cash flow, and margin management.
- Good understanding of construction contracts; FIDIC knowledge is preferred.
