Financial Assistant
, you will be the linchpin of our daily finance operations, playing a critical role in maintaining the smooth running of our operations for our entities worldwide, more specifically Dubai, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Unites Stated and the Netherlands.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and capable Finance Assistant to join our finance team.
In this role, you will support day-to-day financial operations, with a strong focus on ensuring accurate transactional processing, maintaining up-to-date ledgers, and supporting month-end closing procedures.
The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles and hands-on experience with cloud accounting software, specifically Xero.
What you will do
Bank Reconciliations
Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations within Xero to ensure all transactions are accurately matched and accounted for.
Core Accounting Support:
Assist with double-entry bookkeeping, maintaining a clear understanding of how debits and credits impact the general ledger.
Financial Reporting Support:
Assist in the preparation of month-end schedules that feed into the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
Cash Flow Monitoring:
Support the tracking of daily cash movements and assist with basic cash flow monitoring.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process supplier invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and assist with standard accounts receivable tracking.
Requirements & Qualifications
Software Experience:
Proven, hands-on experience using Xero for daily accounting tasks.
Technical Knowledge: A strong foundational understanding of accounting principles—you must know how a Balance Sheet structure works and understand the mechanics of debits and credits.
Key Skills: Direct experience executing bank reconciliations, particularly as part of a month-end close process.
Financial Literacy
Basic exposure to or understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and cash flow tracking.
Attributes
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving within financial systems.
- We operate using Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
- Thus, familiarity and hands-on experience with these platforms are critical for this role.
- The candidate should be fluently English-speaking, showcasing excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- An eye for detail, capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a passion for delivering high-quality work are vital.
- Tools that are in use are Xero (or similar accounting systems), Shopify, Stripe, payment processors, Reporting tools (Fathom, Spotlight, or similar)
- What you bring to the table:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payables, receivables and bank reconciliations, ideally with a focus on international markets.
- Proven ability to manage financial operations across multiple entities in different jurisdictions (experience with Dubai, Europe, and US is a plus).
- Experience with invoicing, payment processing platforms (e.g., Klarna, Stripe), and banking.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of financial compliance and best practices.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using financial management software, as well as Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to conducting business with integrity.
- MUST have Xero experience!!!
