Overview
Most roles own a function.
This one owns a problem: the manual work that piles up across a business faster than anyone can clear it.
You drop into a department, find what is still being done by hand, build the automation that removes it, hand it back so the team owns it, and move to the next one.
Then you come back around.
Think of it as rounds, the way a doctor does rounds.
You own a practice, not a territory.
What you'll do
- Embed with a team, watch the real work, and find the highest-leverage task still being done by hand.
- Build a working automation, usually an AI workflow, that absorbs it. The deliverable runs the day it lands. No decks.
- Hand it back clean: document it, train the owner, leave no dependency on you.
- Rotate across acquisitions, marketing, sales, portfolio operations, finance and then loop back to maintain and upgrade what you built.
- Keep score in hours given back and problems that do not come back.
- Who you are
- A problem solver first. You walk into an unfamiliar area, work out what is actually slowing it down, and fix it.
- AI-native. You live in an AI stack and became capable because of it. You vibe code: describe the outcome, let the model build it, keep what works. You ship what used to need an engineer.
- Fast. You get a first version out and sharpen it, instead of waiting for perfect.
- High agency, low ego. A blank brief is the interesting part, not a blocker.
- A builder with proof. You can show automations you made and still use.
