Finance Analyst FP&A role supporting the financial management of Argos as a standalone business.
Provides analysis and insights across financial statements to inform leadership decisions on performance, liquidity and investment.
Location and working pattern
- Location options stated in the description are London, Coventry or Manchester Store Support Centre and home.
- Colleagues go into the office 1–2 days per week on average.
What you’ll do
- Produce decision-focused performance analysis, reporting and forecasting across financial statements.
- Maintain FP&A models and support management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
- Analyse balance-sheet movements and identify actions to improve profit and cash generation.
- Assess risks and opportunities and provide insights that support strategic decisions.
Essential criteria
- Studying towards or completed a recognised professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Understand financial statements, the relationship between profit and loss, balance sheet and cash position, and effective financial control.
- Proven Excel and financial modelling capability, including large datasets, analytical outputs and model maintenance.
- Plan and prioritise financial activities, including recurring reporting, budgeting or forecasting deadlines.
- Communicate effectively and manage stakeholders across teams; commercial-environment experience is beneficial.
