Role Overview

All resources and logistics required to perform service and maintenance work at the customer's site or property.

Activities help maintain, repair, and overhaul sold or existing products.

Includes all types of maintenance services (preventive and corrective), management of maintenance facilities, and field service engineering.

Responsible for the quality of own work and works under direct operational supervision and prescribed work instructions.

Generally follows a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site runtime extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets.
  • Monitor construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at customer sites.
  • Carry out on-site machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics.
  • Make engineering decisions within the defined framework.
  • Develop conceptual knowledge of the discipline and apply general business knowledge.
  • Solve problems using established procedures and consult supervisors or senior team members when outside defined parameters.
  • Collaborate with others to resolve issues and build strong customer relationships.
  • Serve as the interface between customers and GE Vernova and convey technical information.

Basic Qualifications

  • Basic experience comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
