Field Engineer

Role overview

Installation and servicing

• Install, configure, and commission print machines and MFDs at customer sites.
• Configure network connectivity, print drivers, scanning workflows, and user authentication; conduct handovers and basic user orientation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and diagnose print-quality, paper-handling, hardware, firmware, and software-integration faults.
• Replace defective parts and consumables with genuine OEM-approved components; test and validate equipment before leaving the site.

Customer support and reporting

• Respond to on-site and remote service calls within SLA response times and advise customers on equipment operation and care.
• Provide product demonstrations and technical presentations; escalate complex issues with complete diagnostic details.
• Submit service reports, job sheets, parts records, meter readings, consumables usage, and equipment status through the CRM or service system.
• Report recurring faults, equipment health trends, and parts needs; maintain an organized engineer kit.

Minimum qualifications

• 3–6 years of field service experience with office or commercial print machines across one or more major OEM brands.
• Hands-on fault diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
• Strong multi-brand print and MFD knowledge, diagnostic ability, service management or CRM proficiency, good communication skills, and a valid UAE driving licence.

Desired qualifications

• Direct Fujifilm and/or Kyocera servicing experience in a UAE/GCC environment; familiarity with MPS-managed environments and SLA-driven contracts.
• Knowledge of network printing, scan workflows, print driver configuration, fleet management, or remote monitoring tools; Arabic is an advantage.
• OEM certifications for Fujifilm, Kyocera, HP, Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, or Canon are strongly preferred.

Accountabilities and standards

• Record parts consumed accurately to support billing and inventory control; minimize repeat visits through a high first-time fix rate.
• Meet SLA requirements for service calls and preventive maintenance and support high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow HSE standards, client site protocols, and OEM procedures.
