Production planning and supervision
- Supervise daily marble and stone cutting, CNC operations, edge profiling, polishing, finishing, and fabrication.
- Allocate tasks to operators and factory workers based on production priorities; monitor schedules and order timelines.
- Coordinate production requirements and delivery schedules with the Factory Manager and project team.
- Use raw materials, machinery, manpower, and resources efficiently.
Quality control
- Inspect finished and semi-finished products against approved drawings, measurements, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor dimensions, edge finishes, polishing, surface defects, and material consistency; coordinate corrective actions to reduce rework and waste.
- Check products before packing and dispatch.
Manpower management
- Monitor worker performance, attendance, discipline, and productivity; assign duties and provide practical production guidance.
- Coordinate manpower requirements, attendance issues, overtime, and worker performance with HR and management.
- Allocate adequate manpower across production sections.
Machinery and materials
- Monitor cutting machines, CNC machines, polishing equipment, forklifts, and other factory machinery.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing; report breakdowns and delays to the Factory Manager.
- Monitor marble and stone materials, consumables, stock, issuance, and replenishment with the storekeeper.
- Reduce wastage, breakage, and costs; identify, store, and reuse suitable offcuts.
Safety, reporting, and coordination
- Ensure workers follow factory safety procedures, use PPE, maintain housekeeping, and handle, lift, load, and unload materials safely.
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, hazards, and near misses to management.
- Prepare daily reports on output, manpower, downtime, material consumption, wastage, and pending orders.
- Coordinate with design, technical, project, store, and dispatch teams; maintain production records and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 3–5 years of factory supervision experience, preferably in marble, granite, natural stone, or stone fabrication.
- Good knowledge of marble cutting, CNC machining, polishing, edge profiling, finishing, and fabrication.
- Experience supervising factory workers, machine operators, and production teams.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control, material utilisation, and workplace safety.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and record keeping.
- A related manufacturing, mechanical operations, or production diploma or technical qualification is preferred.
- Reading technical drawings and understanding dimensions and measurements is preferred.
Pay
- AED 3,000–5,500 per month.
