Factory Accountant – FMCG Manufacturing & Trading

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain complete **factory accounting operations** including production accounting and inventory control.
• Perform **cost accounting activities** such as:
• Product costing
• Standard costing & variance analysis
• BOM and consumption analysis
• Cost allocation and absorption
• Monitor **raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuation**.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for **cost reduction and efficiency improvement**.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly **production and cost reports**.
• Reconcile production data with financial records and ERP systems.
• Support factory management with **budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures**.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and audit requirements.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to factory operations.
• Track wastage, yield variance, and operational performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in **Accounting, Finance, or Commerce**.
• Professional certification in **Cost Accounting (CMA / ICWA preferred)** is an advantage.
• Minimum **3–5 years of experience** as a Factory Accountant in **FMCG Manufacturing industry**.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of **Factory Accounting & Cost Accounting principles**.
• Experience working in **manufacturing or FMCG production environments**.
• Advanced proficiency in **Microsoft Excel**:

• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP - Advance Formulas Practical Knowledge

• Data analysis & reporting
• Cost tracking models
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced factory environment.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in **English and Hindi** (spoken and written).

Preferred Attributes

• Hands-on factory exposure and shop-floor coordination experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage factory finance operations.
