Role Overview
FITT Meals are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to lead our small in-house maintenance team and oversee the provision of services such as servicing and repairs of equipment by third party contractors.
We require an energetic, experienced, and enthusiastic individual who can start almost immediately.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of hands-on technicians in looking after the smooth running of a state of the art 40,000 square foot central food production and distribution facility.
This is a hands-on role with a coordination aspect to the role including administrative duties.
Trade qualifications and hands-on skill are a must, and we will prioritise candidates who demonstrate a strong ability to use technology to their advantage in coordinating and administrating the team.
Communication, operational understanding, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.
The coordination aspect of the role is heavily focused on managing third party suppliers.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations, and will work with this person to complete department spend forecasting, monitor departmental performance using KPI’s, and serve our internal customers across all areas of the FITT Meals operation.
The successful candidate will act as the critical link between our hands-on maintenance team, and the management team in the business.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate the smooth completion of a broad scope of “Facilities” work including MEP works, installations, and kitchen equipment repairs across a large facility under the direction of business management.
- FITT Meals fulfils its entire production flow in-house. All works, including renovation and installation projects must be scheduled and completed so as to cause the minimum disturbance to operations. This requires strong communication skills, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the production flow which the candidate will pick up over time and which management can advise on initially.
- In collaboration with management, coordinate the running of FITT Meals’ internal Facilities team including associated tasks such as performance management reviews, annual leave planning, budget management etc.
- The successful candidate will be overseeing a 40,000 sq. foot facility from the ground up, with a particular emphasis on kitchen machinery and equipment and must have relevant prior experience.
- Oversee Repairs and Parts-related expenses - tracking receipts and approving small expenses.
- Along with the Head of Operations, complete quarterly budgets and identify potential cost savings.
- Coordinate relevant AMC’s and assist in managing the relationship with suppliers for these.
- Direct the Facilities team in their role in coordinating and conducting PPM and AMC activities, and carrying out electrical, mechanical, and civil works for which we have in-house capability.
- Continually grow and enhance the responsibilities and capability of the Facilities team by designing SOP’s and implementing new PPM procedures and checks based on own experience and observations to put solutions in place before problems occur.
- Oversee the smooth running of the staff transport service by a third-party contractor.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2-3 years in supervisor or team lead position.
- 5-7 years experience in Facilities/Maintenance or a relevant related field
- Full Manual UAE Driver Licence.
- UAE experience.
- Experience with handling maintenance contracts and supplier relationships.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and manage teams effectively.
- Genuine proficiency with productivity tools like email, excel/sheets, word/docs etc. is a minimum requirement and will be assessed at interview. FITT Meals is a technology-driven company - and this role will carry administrative duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven management and administrative skills
- Experience with using latest technologies such as AI in the workplace
- Prior experience in dealing with Dubai Municipality, FoodWatch, DCD etc. and the associated permit, licensing, and reporting requirements for these bodies is a plus.
- Experience within food manufacturing facilities. Previous experience with commercial/industrial-scale kitchen equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with Maintenance software and reporting tools.
